An Important Day
On Saturday, my sister Jocelyn graduated from high school. During the ceremony, one of the speakers talked about the importance of the day. He was right; it is a day that will be remembered throughout your life. I know I was picturing mine throughout the afternoon. Maybe this was because; I graduated in the same gym from the same high school six years ago almost to the day. Isn’t that scary? I am glad to be out of school, but heading into college was a great time. What fun it would be to do it all over again.
The rest of weekend was spectacular. I did not do so much reminiscing but more hanging out with friends. Friday, I was really hoping to move into my new house, but it didn’t happen. I’m wondering if it will ever happen. Maybe ill get there in July? It’s starting to get annoying because; we are just waiting for the rug to be put down. That does involve a few phone calls and appointments that I can’t make. Oh well, it will happen hopefully sooner then later.
Since I was unable to be productive, I decided to get silly with Sarah. I drove over to her new house in Arlington around 8pm Friday. Her roommates seem real cool, and I am glad she is enjoying living there. We decided to check out the Clarendon Grill. Some cover band was playing some crappy tunes, and there was an outside patio. The patio was covered so, we were shielded from the rain. It was a good time. I spent most of the evening talking to Sarah.
Saturday, was graduation day. After the ceremonies, my family went downtown to the Chart House. The restaurant had been newly renovated, and it was beautiful. My dad and I had an interesting appetizer. It was a stack of crazy flavors. The first layer was avocado, the second was mango and the third and final was crab back fin meat. Weird right? It was a party in my mouth. I had Alaskan Halibut for the main course. It was a great tasting fish that compared to Rockfish. For dessert, most of us ate Key Lime Pie. How do I love Key Lime Pie. Overall, the meal was awesome with good food and great views. To finish off family time, Mom, Dad, Chelsea, and I saw "The Day After Tomorrow." I had been looking forward to seeing this movie for quite sometime. My first reaction was its stressful. By stressful I mean suspenseful. I don’t really like movies that freak you out like that, whether it is horror or stress. I guess I would see it again on video. Either way, I would recommend checking it out for at least the special effects.
Normally people probably would have called it a night, but Anna was in town to hangout. I went back to my house to change and wait for Ritchie. His sister Kristen was coming along for the fun as well. We all met down at Tsunami around 11. Tsunami is only two miles from my new house. That is so awesome. Anna had come to Annapolis with her sister Christina to visit Gina. We had a few drinks at Tsunami and walked down to Armadillos. We gossiped about different people from school and made plans to head down the shore. Also, Gina and I were trying to talk Anna into moving out to Annapolis. That would be a good time. After last call, we went back to Gina’s to have what the girls like to call a “Dance Party.” I guess we all fell asleep around 5am? I felt sub par the next day when I woke up at 330pm. I finished my Sunday by watching the race and hanging out with Jason over at Denby’s.
The weekend was not a complete loss even though nothing as originally planned really happened. I was able to only move a few things into the house, but I had a great time hanging out with everyone! Sarah always provides new places in which to have fun. Gina and Anna know how to get crazier then I. Also, I loved spending most of the day with my family. I am so proud of my sister finishing up school. Now she just has to do well in college. It’s Monday, and I am tired as normal. Heres to looking forward to the weekend as soon as it ends.
