Lets Get Soaking Wet

Isn't that an old line from somesort of club song? I think it is. Well, that is what I did last night at Sonar. I got soaking wet as did everyone else in the old main room. Feelgood laid it down dirty. I mean, the place was jumping. Crazyness.

The night began at Pete's. He arranged a small pre-party. I was able to meet some interesting people from his work. Most were not from the Baltimore or Maryland area. One girl was from Greece! They did agree that this area of the world was awesome. How can you not like all that Bmore/DC/MD/VA has to offer? The idea was tossed around to stay at Pete's all night. No good by me. We cannot miss a Feelgood set at Sonar. Soon, we were out on Fleet catching cabs.

I rode over the club with Heidi and a few others. Our poor cabbie had no idea. We had to walk a few blocks after he dropped us off on the side of the road. It was cool, we made it inside before 11pm. Feelgood was scheduled to take the tables around 11. We didn't want to miss a beat.

After I paid my cover, I started to look for Scott and Joanne. They were in the main room. We talked a moment about my trip, and wondered why the djs in the main room were spinning hip-hop??? Hmm, maybe Feelgood was going to be in the old smaller main room. We walked over there, and sure enough, he was about to go on.

The set that followed was legendary. I mean, he didn't stop. Maybe the air conditioning was turned off? I do not know. All I do know, is we got wet quick. I mean, the whole place was dancing. Everyone in the room. The house was traditional. Not to deep, not to funky. Kinda like chicago house I would say? Again, everyone was into it. Lonnie even let him continue till almost 2am! Most djs get shutdown at 130am. Maybe someone can help out with the names of a few tracks?

Pete was having an after party of sorts. The plan was to take a cab back, but it was a nice night - we walked again. I mean, it was good we walked. Each of us was covered head to toe in sweat. Plus, we got to see Pete freestyle walk all over the place. At one point, a car full of girls was cheering for him! This time we weren't as destructful, but it was just as much fun.

Back in Fells, I decided to drive on home. That's right. I wanted to go to sleep at my new place! Also, I really wanted to clean up. I felt so nasty. I felt like I had played 90 minutes of soccer. Everyone else hung around. I popped in the Feelgood Promo CD Scott snagged for me, and I was off to Annapolis. What a wet and wild night.
