What A Wound!
Look what my buddy Matt did to himself last weekend!!! Isn't that cool??? He is doing fine now, but what a great story. Ill let his wife describe what happened below the photographs. I submitted the up close shot to Consumption Junction. Mabye it will make it up. Either way, its a gruesome photo.

This past weekend Matt and Jason were working on a side job (finishing a basement). Well, an unfortunate mishap with a framing nailer led to a fantastic night at "nighttime pediatrics", and yielded the pictures you see below. I must say that the pictures don't really do the wound justice. It is actually deeper than it appears in these pictures. Matt initially tried to dislodge the nail from his finger with his teeth, but it was so tightly jammed that it would not budge (thank goodness, because I know if he would have been able to pull it out, he would
have just put electrical tape on the wound and called it a day). The doctor at Nighttime Pediatrics had to cut off some of the surrounding skin with a scalpel to remove the nail from his finger. Matt will tell you the most painful part was when they had to inject Novocaine directly into the nail hole. Jason and I will tell you that the most interesting part occurred after they removed the nail. The doctor was squirting a saline solution through one side of the wound and it was shooting out the other side (Matt's finger was numb). Anyway, I'll shut up and let you all look at the photos's. On the second photo you can see the nail on the far right side of the picture. It's funny, because Jason looks like he's the one about to pass out...

i am squeemish when it comes to injuries and the like. looking at the picture and reading the description made my insides turn. squirting saline is funny.
Matt's always been freekin crazy.
Might I remind everyone not only does this look like it hurts, but this is a 10d nail in his finger......ouch!!
i hate that i viewed these pics as i ate breakfast this morning
