Armadillos for Dinner?
Jason, Denby, Ritch, and I found ourselves walking around downtown looking for a place to eat. We originally wanted to eat at Pusser's, but there was a chill in the air. The nasty rainstorm earlier in the day really cooled off the evening. Actually, it was beautiful outside, but a little to cold to sit by the water. I suggested Armadillo's, and everyone was cool with it.
We walked past Ego Alley and crossed the street just in time to find an open table on the sidewalk. I know what you're thinking. Isn't that outside? Yes, yes it is, but it isn't right on the water. The bouncer was kind enough to pull us up a second table. Matt and Megan would be arriving shortly.
Jason and I were the only one really getting some food. I was so hungry. I had been sleeping/couching it all day. On a side-note, Fox Sports World is amazing. I watch the EPL all day long. Anyway, Jason and I both ordered crab soup and wraps; one Chesapeake and Southwestern to share. I guess that sounds really fruity. Oh Well. Denby asked for a salad, and everyone else got drinks.
The soup was spectacular. The wraps were decent, but nothing to write home about. I did snap at the waitress. I asked her to bring me a Matador (Red Bull, Jose Cuervo Gold, Triple Sec, Lime Juice). I asked her if she knew what is was, and she said the bar tender would know. Then she brought me some grapefruit drink. That was when I snapped at her. "It's not what I ordered, but thanks anyway." What a horrible person I am?? I apologized later, and she brought up an excellent point. "You are not even close to being as bad as the mids." I completely forgot about those morons. I guess because they have been gone all summer? No matter, I don't think I annoyed her as bad as I thought.
We were indecisive after the meal. No one knew where to go. Someone said Middleton's, but I didn't feel like a piano bar. Again, I came through with a nifty idea, "Let's do upstairs at Riordan's." Everyone was cool with it, and off we went. In the back of my mind, I was hoping to met some girls. Once upstairs, drinks in hand, just talking, this cute girl bumps into me and starts conversation. I don't talk to girls, at least not lately. I had not much to say, and it didn't happen. Matt even tried to help out with some witty comments, but to no avail.
After everyone was nice and toasty, we called it a night. Denby gave Jason, Ritch, and I a ride back to my house. We all stayed up for a minute to watch Jason play Ritch in Madden 2005. It is much more fun to watch then Tiger Woods, but I wasn't feeling it. Denby had crawled into my bed at some point in the first quarter. During the second quarter, I decided to join her. I was so tired.
It was a relaxing night. I really like eating outside in the cool weather. Plus, we really had some good conversation going. It was what I needed after a late night on Friday. I guess that is why I wasn't to cool at Riordan's? I was tired. Who knows. I'm horrible sometimes. Either way, good saturday it was.

Yes, last night was really fun! Im so glad you suggested going to some diffrent places. It can get old eating at the same places and going to the same bars every weekend. Matt and I were discussing how nice it was to mix things up on the car ride home last night. Last night was totally the night of the vodka drink, i think thats what everyone was drinking. As far as the waitress goes, i think she will be okay, at least you apologized! im sure many people don't even do that! Your still a sweetheart, besides, how dare she mess with the matador! :)
