My New Favorite Thing To Do

Today, the sun was shinning down from the time it rose over the eastern sky. I had no desire to sit inside and watch tv. Then it dawned on me! There was reality entertainment only a short drive away. I loaded up a back pack with water, cd walkman, and a small case of cds. I was out the door and driving to downtown. Yay for people watching!

I parked right at the end of the city dock, and I filled the meter with change. This will come back to haunt me because; I filled the wrong meter. I got a ticket. Stupid. Anyway, I sat right down at the end of the dock and watched the pleasure boaters come and go. There were a few guys fishing and lots of people enjoying the beautiful day.

After a few hours down on the dock, I walked up to Starbucks for some coffee. I countinued on and sat back down at the end of Ego Alley. This was a prime location to see cars traverse up Main Street. Plus, plenty of people were walking around and eating breakfast/lunch. By Market House, a vendor was selling some really colorful bouquets of maybe wildflowers (i really dont know flowers)? They looked awesome, and I remebered Denby was complaining about her messy house. I decided to get her a bunch to chear her up. Her house in shambles due to renovations. After the purchase, I ran the flowers back to the car.

It was starting to get really hot, but I didn't want to go home just yet. I decided to walk all the way up Main Street to Church Circle. There were some benches in the shade infront of the Courthouse. Ah, that was a comfortable spot. A lot of different people kept walking from West Street around the circle to Main Street. Of course, a lot of cars were making the trip as well. I noticed a lot of mids with family and friends. Also, a lot of people with USC and VT gear. I guess they made the trip to my town before the big game. I began to deplete my choice of CDs so, I walked back to my car to call it a day.

What an awesome time!!! I really love to people watch, and I will have to take advantage of this more often. It's not the same as a large city, but still really a great time. On the way home, I stopped by Denby's to give her the flowers. I told her to close her eyes, and she got all excited like a four year old. She loved them and thanked me. I was happy she liked them. I sat around for a bit, but I was quickly back home for a nap. The night before had been a long one.
