Back To Federal Hill
The Philly Kids and I woke up twelve hours after our first awakening, and got ready to go out one more time. We planned on going somewhere in Baltimore. Ritchie and Eric suggested Federal Hill. I really love Federal Hill. It is such a cool area of Baltimore. I do not get there very much, except this weekend. I was suppose to call Kevin, but I plum forgot. Sorry man, I guess I was to pre-occupied with recovery.
Again, we took seperate cars. Big ups to Jeff for driving. My car was incapacitated. Halfway up I-97, Eric gave us a ring. They decided to stay behind in Annapolis. It was a shame they were tired, the last night of the weekend was about to begin.
After directing Jeff to East Cross Street, it took twenty minutes to find street parking. I wasn't suprised the garage was full. It was after 11pm. I wasn't sure which establishment to check out, but I thought about Mad River. During the walk there, we past the Thirsty Dog. Of course, why didn't I think of that before?! We walked upstairs and ordered a round of Happy Dogs.
This turned out to be the perfect choice. The drinks are cheap, and the upstairs wasn't too crowded. We sampled a variety of their signature beers while recapping the weekend's events. We had been through a whirlwind of situations. I could not believe it was only Saturday night! I wanted to take everyone to one more place, and the Sky Lounge seemed a logical choice.
I wasn't sure if the crowd would be decent. I have not been to the Sky Lounge for a few months. I took the guys directly upstairs to the second floor. It is such a cool room with the DJ in the corner, spinning deep funky house, and the smoked glass dance floor. It looked like the evening was going well. We ordered a few drinks and talked to a few girls. Most of all, we had fun dancing. Even McCartan was jumping around the room. Good, Good Times.
If we learned anything from the day's earlier events, we needed a place to chill after 2am. Pete provided such a place at his house in Fells Point. He had been at Goodlove all night, and he texted us with after party information. It was really good to see him. I have not been to his house in sometime. I was able to meet his new roomate, and he seemed really cool. Someone help me out with his name? We had a chance to hear Pete spin some U2, and everyone relaxed. It was a good way to close out the night. Before long, we where back down in Napptown for some much needed slumber.
I think the Philly Kids enjoyed Baltimore. There are a few other neighborhoods we will have to checkout at a later date, but Federal Hill never dissappoints. Either way, I hope everyone had fun. I had a blast. It was a legendary Saturday in my humble opinion.
