What Were We Thinking?

Lets take a closer look at what we did Saturday morning. This sounded like the best idea ever, but some might consider it the worst idea ever.

I woke up the house around 930am. Eric and Ritchie drove down to Ram's Head before myself, McCartan, JGood, and Herczeg. It was drizzling outside so, there wasn't much else to do with the day except hangout inside.

I was suprised to see the upstairs bar partially full. I wouldn't peg Annapolis for a town that would come out for Keggs and Eggs. A few guys were pretty plowed. They just ordered a round of shots for the entire bar. What a way to drop $500 before 11am on a Saturday. The music lineup I posted above does not look right. If I remeber correctly, only one guy was playing when we arrived. He was decent, and started dropping a lot of Bob Marley. At one point, the whole bar was singing "Three Little Birds" with glasses in the air.

We ordered some food, and Ritchie remebered to call Jason and Denby. They arrived right in the middle of our political discussion. I won't name any names, but we were split liberal/conservative almost down the middle. It is interesting to here everyone's opinions. We also talked about Maryland and Philly sports with those at the next table, but who am I kidding. We enjoyed the crab dip and beer so much more.

The second group of musicians (group not just one like it says up top) began to play after 11am. They were so talented. The lead guitarist could noodle with the best. He sat next to an equal talented bassist with a great voice. They took requests the entire morning including Allmans, Black Crows, and DMB. Denby, Herczeg, and I were dancing up near the front of the bar.

At one point, we decided to venture out of the bar. I think the guys really wanted to see more of downtown. It was still drizzling, and I drove down to the city dock. Herczeg suggested Pusser's for a painkiller, and no one thought it was a bad idea. We had one, and started to trek back home. Unfortunately, I popped a tire on West Street. Thank god Jeff was in a state of mind to get it changed. We "dropped" the car off at the Honda dealership, and went home for a nap. I think we scared/really amused everyone at the dealer. Basically, we should never be allowed out in public.
