Birthplace Of The Matador
Is it really possible to stop into four establishments in one night? Heidi, Pete, and I pulled it off on Saturday. I was well rested from a lazy Friday night watching Jason and Ritchie play video games. It was a change of pace to see Baltimore. I have not been out in Bmore for a few weeks. Back to the four places thing... We went to Kislings, Flips, Good Love Bar, and Shorty's all in a few hours. You have to love the proximity of Pete's to Canton and Fell's Point.
Kislings supplied our need for food. I already had eaten some dinner so, I just had Bay Fries. Old Bay and French Fries rules! Next, they took me to Flips. This is a new corner bar basically next door to Pete's. How could you ever make it home from work with a corner bar right there? I would find myself putting my key in their door instead of mine. We played a close game of Cricket and filled the jukebox.
Our proposed final stop was Good Love. They always play fun house music in a loungy atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was no one there. The place was almost completely empty. We retreated back to Pete's. Heidi then gave us a ride over to the birthplace of the Matador. It is a Red Bull drink that consists of tequila, triple sec, Red Bull, cranberry, and a splash of lime. It's tasty. We had a great time sitting at the bar chatting up with others.
The night ended back at Pete's. All in all, it was a low key night. Although, we really made the rounds! I can't decide where we had more fun? Each place was a different experience. I just wish all bars could make Matador's like Shorty's.
