Wish I Thought Of That
I am in love with photography. I tend to take too many/not enough pictures. Depending on your view of what is right and what is wrong. You can imagine my jealousy after stumbling across Stop Motion Studies. I have much respect for the site's owner, David Crawford. What a fantastic idea!
Crawford conducted a photo study on major subways of the world from 2002 to 2003. The premise of the study was that "90% of human communication is non-verbal." His shots attempt to capture all different walks of life, from different corners of the globe, in unique locations. He pieced the individual shots together for an interesting effect. He ties still photos into motion, maybe displaying the subjects non-verbal communication. Wicked. I would suggest viewing his first installment, Stop Motion Studies - Series 1. The rest are equally amazing, but the last installment, Stop Motion Studies - Series 13 pulls each series together in a "remix." It is such an interesting and compelling piece of work.
