Secret Santa

The idea of Secret Santa is perfect for a group of friends. It is a way for everyone to get a gift without feeling obligated to buy something for everyone. We set this up back in November for Me, Ritchie, Matt, Megan, Jason, and Denby. Yippie! We get to give and receive gifts.

We drew names out of a hat. I was lucky enough to have Megan. I instantly thought, she needs something for her new house. Her and Matt just bought a house in Eastport!!! What can I get her for the house? Hmmm, she really likes Van Gogh and Monet. I dig Van Gogh more so, I started to look around for a cool print. I know she already had Starry Night. I looked for a painting to compliment this one. I found Night Stars.

To exchange gifts, we went to McGarvey's. My new favorite Napptown spot! Only a few gifts were left to be exchanged. I gave in last Friday and presented Megan with her gift. She absolutely loved it! Score one for Simeon! The frame even matched a few of her other frames. Fantastic. Sunday night, Jason gave me my gift. I took the wrapping paper off the box, and it said South Moon Under. That store is hot. I was excited. Inside the box were two t-shirts - a blue one with an old school Pam Am logo and a red one that said Crazy Horse with a cowboy. So cool. I love t-shirts. In the bottom of a box was an amazing polo shirt by Penguin. It is so damn cool. It's the same one Brad Pitt is wearing in a People spread that talks about how much he loves Penguin. Now I can dress like a Rock Star in Rio! Thanks Jason so much for the sweet shirts.

Anyway, back to McGarvey's. We met at 8pm to exchange what gifts were left. Megan gave Denby a Jessica Simpson Christmas CD and a basket of goodies from Pier 1. Matt gave Jason a really cool stripped shirt. Ritchie gave Matt some Waterford wine glasses. Denby already gave Ritchie a model sail boat from the Annapolis Museum Store. Everyone was so happy with their gifts. Yay Secret Santa!
