Stumbling Upon A Good Time
Hmm, I think I remember doing something in September. Ah yes, I went to Colorado to see DMB at Red Rocks. What a good time. Hehehe. I think I will actually write about that this week. I even need to process some photos. I've been quite busy so, I'll just jump back in from last weekend.
Friday was the first nice weather day in over a week. The rain had finally stopped and the sun began to shine. It seemed to be a good night to get out of the house. Teresa and I planned on going downtown. We hoped to met with Denby and Jason, but they weren't able to make it out until later in the weekend.
We started at the Ram's Head for some dinner. The Beer Garden never gets old. We didn't have a plan for the rest of the evening, but we walked out onto West Street and turned left. The next place down is Sean Donlon's. The music streaming out of the doors was beautiful.
We walked in to find a three piece setup in the corner. The crowd was mostly composed of middle age men and women. A few kids made there way in later in the night. The band on stage was called the Michael McHenry Tribe, and they ripped. Michael McHenry was playing a 70s vintage strat that sounded so sweet. We heard Bill Withers, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. The funniest part was watching the one 40 year old woman do air guitar on the floor and then hook up with a 25 year old dude. Perfect. I'm gonna have to see this band again...
